Few years back, ramai yang beranggapan bahawa travel is a rich man
world. Ye la since travel itself requires us to have so much things to be
prepared. Nak lagi kalau travel outside from the country. Tiket kapal terbang?
Keperluan Makanan? Duit Saku? Tempat penginapan? Pengangkutan? dan sebagainya.
Tapi sekarang tidak lagi. Kalau dulu flying on a plane dah dikira
exclusive. Harga mahal. Meminjam moto #AirAsia Now Everyone Can Fly betul-betul
membuatkan dream came true. Tak payah la cerita nak travel jauh-jauh. Start
with small steps. Jalan-jalan negeri sendiri pun dah dikira satu pencapaian
yang bagus.
And now, I would like to share how I started to travel.
1.
I love
dreaming. My friend once said, dreaming is free. You don’t have to pay for it.
And yeah, that’s really true.
Tengah-tengah
tengok Instagram tiba-tiba ternampak gambar orang pergi melancong atau came
across a picture of iconic building, or a beautiful scenery. Pernah tak
terlintas dalam fikiran “Bestnya. Kalau dapat berada di situ” or “Kalau aku ada
dekat sana, aku nak tangkap gambar banyak-banyak” and don’t forget selfie is a
must! Tak salah pun berangan and you never realized that yang anda dah bertekad
untuk berada di tempat tersebut. Kalau dah niat tu kira 50% dah confirm nak
buat. Cuma another 50% tu yang perlu dicari (Rule Sendiri :p). Once dah ada
niat, time to start. Start with information seeking (Preliminary).
Pssst :
Once said that ‘Stop Dreaming, get Moving’ but seems didn’t worked for me. Lain
orang lain cara. Kannn…
2. Life of a Tourism Management Student
Kalau dah belajar jurusan Tourism Management, of
course lah jalan je kerjanya (Siapa kata?) Pepandai je. In fact, it was more
than that.
Belajar subjek Pelancongan Nampak senang. Cuba
suruh diri sendiri plan for a trip. Ha… Menggelabah. Apa-apa pun subjek yang
dipelajari, semuanya bukan mudah.
3 years as a tourism student, banyak mengajar saya
setiap inci dan pelosok ‘pelancongan’. Then, I came across new tourism
terminologies and started to understand the tourism and things related to it
(Nak cerita berkenaan pelancongan sampai bila-bila takkan habis). Dah pandai
nak google about one destination and see how the tourism activities work.
Terbuka pula laman web penerbangan, sebab nak tengok harga tiket ke sana.
Sehinggalah tersimpan duit dan terbeli tiket itu.
I don’t remember my first travel experiences and I
believed it started long ago but my first flight was on year 2007/2008 if I am
not mistaken. The first flight is to Pulau Langkawi and it was a family trip.

Literacy
Travel
Saya
kaitkan dengan menyahut seruan ‘Iqra’ @ baca. Wahyu pertama yang diturunkan
kepada our beloved prophet, Muhammad. Bacalah sesuatu yang mendatangkan
kebaikan buat diri kita. Our future is what we are doing right now. Apa yang
kita baca hari ini, adalah kita pada masa hadapan. Sedikit kita baca, …
sambunglah sendiri.
Ha… Apa kaitannya
dengan pergi melancong? Did you know that you can travel to Pahang, Penang,
Johor, Sabah, UK, China, Norway or any of your dream country by just sitting in
front of the PC, or do some reading on the phone or simply by reading an
article in a magazine. Yang ni extreme to those yang malas membaca dan mencari
(Tak dapat den nak nolong).
Yang suka
membaca macam saya (kuikuikui) mungkin tak ada masalah. Travelog is my fav
genre. Anything related to pengembaraan, saya confirm borong (walaupun tak tahu
bila nak baca). Dari pembacaan dan daya imaginasi yang tinggi dah cukup untuk
membawa anda pengembara ke suatu destinasi.
Try it. You
even learned way too far by reading. But of course, real experience is a must
at least once in a lifetime.

A
Supportive Family
Alhamdulillah.
I am so lucky to have a very supportive family. Supportive in every kind of
ways, moral and tangible. Bukan apa setiap yang kita lakukan mestilah have a
mutual consensus daripada orang-orang di sekeliling especially our family. Ye
la kalau dulu naik bas ikut rombongan kalau mak ayah tak bagi duit, confirm tak
pergi. Tapi don’t misunderstood pada parent yang tak bagi. Cuma ada kekangan.
Kalau dulu
banyak do’s and don’ts for women. Ye la orang perempuan duduk di rumah. But it
seems no longer relevant in today’s world. More opportunities lay ahead for us
(women) to achieve. Tapi jangan lupa where should we stand on.
Pssst :
Please bear in mind that to put your family first in anything we are doing.
Inshaallah, all is well.
I am so sorry to say this but the first two or three chapter of a new
blog might be boring but that is how it should be. Happy reading.
Lots of love,
